Pattern and sample papers for CSS Compulsory and Optional Subjects in 2023. The following subjects will therefore be covered in the exam, and each subject will receive the scores shown next to it. There will be two assignments for 100 points each, for a total of 200 points. The rest will therefore be a work in progress. Each task will take three hours. Candidates who are not Muslims might choose to major in Islamic Studies rather than Comparative Studies of Major Religions. Although passing the CSS exam is difficult, intelligent students succeed in high numbers. The key to success in any sector of competitive examination is smart to study. Islamabad’s Federal Public Service Commission is in charge of conducting the CSS.
CSS Compulsory and Optional Subjects for Written Examination (1200MARKS)
The following subjects will be tested, and they will each receive the marks shown next to them.
There will be two exams, each worth 100 points, for each of the courses. There will be one paper on the other topics. Each paper will last three hours.
Except for the essay, applied mathematics, and pure mathematics papers, all obligatory and optional papers will have some objective-type questions (MCQs).
The answers to the question papers in Persian, Arabic, or Urdu, as well as other regional languages are spoken in Pakistan (Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, and Balochi), should be provided in those languages. The question paper will specify how to respond to questions connected to translation from the appropriate language into English or vice versa.
Candidates who are not Muslims can choose between taking Islamic Studies and Comparative Study of Major Religions.
A candidate will not be permitted to appear in the remaining examination papers if they do not take any mandatory or optional subjects.
viii) To pass the three General Knowledge exams (GK-I, GK-II, and GK-III), you must receive 120 out of a possible 300 points.

Total: 600 * Subjective questions must be answered in an Answer Book, while multiple-choice questions must be answered on a computerized OMR Answer sheet.
The minimal requirement for optional topics will be an honors degree from a Pakistani university. According to the guidelines listed in column 1 below, candidates must choose optional subjects totaling 600 marks from the following groups:
